Not sure if this is specific to my headset, but I hope this might help someone else too. I will look around for a more attractive insulation/solution (any suggestions?), but it does the trick for now anyway. Assuming the many signals was causing some interference, I placed some tinfoil around the sheath on the mic and to my surprise it has stopped the buzzing noise! I had to keep the tinfoil somewhat loose, when it was too tight the buzz returned. I live in a condo area where there are many other Wi-Fi hotspots I can pick-up from my place.
#XBOX SERIES X HEADSET UPDATE#
I will update if I end up finding a resolution.Įdit: I seem to have found a bit of a "hack" solution to the buzzing issue I was having. If I touch anywhere on rubber shield of the mic, the buzzing also stops, so appears to be faulty/hardware related. I have restarted the console/headset several times, updated the firmware, and the issue still persists. When mic monitoring is off, the buzzing stops. When on high, loud buzzing, when on low, the buzzing is more faint.
#XBOX SERIES X HEADSET SERIES#
The headset supports native wireless with Xbox One, Series X, and Series S. The buzzing only occurs when mic monitoring is enabled. When it comes to features, the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 headset matches the Arctis Nova and does so at 50 cheaper. My new headset that arrived today is having the same buzzing problem. hopefully it will get fixed with the new update.Įdit3: after a console + headset restart, the mic monitoring is working again :) Also, mic monitoring seems to be non-functional for the new headset that I recieved. Seems like it got worse when i changed settings for auto-mute/mic monitoring. It is a bit lower than the previous pair though. Tried it straight out of the box and updated them, but the buzzing is still there.

I'll update this post again when I've tested the new one.Įdit2: Got the pair a little early to my surprise. I'm going to get them replaced this week, but was wondering if it's something that's present in all of them?Įdit: I've returned the headset today and will be getting a new pair on Tuesday.

I also noticed that if I update the headset while wearing it, the buzzing becomes really loud. I'm not able to hear it when audio is playing, but it is noticeable during quiet moments. there is a very slight buzzing coming from the left earcup. I just got the new wireless headset today and I'm really liking it! There is one issue though.
